The goal of BishopBjj.com is to expand and empower the jiu jitsu community. We want to emphasize the science and art of jiu jitsu in fun and exciting ways. We want to highlight what makes jiu jitsu so calculated, but also what makes it so much fun. Our vision is that the studies, videos, and material we produce will ultimately go towards the collective benefit of the field (everyone who visits).
Tyler and Jena Bishop are instructors at Gracie Humaita Headquarters in San Diego, CA. Tyler and Jena Bishop are black belts under the Gracie Humaita association (presided over by Master Royler Gracie). Jena received her black belt in July of 2013, and Tyler received his in July of 2014.
“Jiu Jitsu is more than just a sport, it’s our ministry. Jiu Jitsu is how we feel that we can impact the world in a righteous and uplifting way. We want to be the best competitors in the world, but also wish to use jiu jitsu as a tool to positively affect the lives of others. We want to share, teach, utilize, and practice the best jiu jitsu in the world with the best people in the world- that is our mission.”
Jena Bishop is a 4x Pan and 5x World medalist, and 2013 Jiu Jitsu World Champion.
Tyler Bishop is a former amateur MMA champion and holds multiple state, IBJJF, and superfight jiu jitsu titles.
