I am surprised more people don’t talk about Kron Gracie. Not because he is the son of Rickson Gracie, or because of his accomplished competition record, but because his jiu jitsu game is so much different from his peers.

Kron was an anomaly in our recent World Championship study. He is one of the only competitors we surveyed that won matches by submission while losing on points. Not only that, if you watch enough matches you realize that he never plays any kind of “modern guard” game. He never executes anything close to 50/50, De La Riva, X-Guard, Spider Guard, etc. even if his opponent tries to force these positions. Kron has one of the strongest motors of any competitor. His style is like no other.
